PRN / As Needed | Flexible Scheduling | Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation
What if you could help someone regain their independence, rebuild their confidence, and return to the activities that make life meaningful — all while enjoying the flexibility to balance your career with everything else that matters to you?
At AdvantageCare Rehabilitation, we're looking for a compassionate, motivated PRN Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) to join our rehabilitation team at Valley View in Montoursville, Pennsylvania.
Whether you're an experienced Occupational Therapist looking to supplement your income, a newer clinician interested in expanding your experience, or someone seeking flexible hours without the commitment of a traditional full-time schedule, we'd love to connect!
We know your time is valuable, and finding the right PRN opportunity should mean more than simply picking up additional shifts.
It should mean joining a team where your clinical expertise is respected, your contributions matter, and the care you provide makes a real difference.
Flexibility That Works for You
Already working full-time? Looking to pick up additional hours while maintaining a schedule that works for your lifestyle?
Our PRN opportunities allow you to explore additional work based on your availability and the facility's coverage needs.
Whether you're balancing another position, family responsibilities, or simply prefer the flexibility of PRN employment, we'd love to learn what you're looking for.
Meaningful Patient Care in a Community-Focused Setting
At Valley View, you'll have the opportunity to work with residents who depend on skilled occupational therapy services to regain independence, improve daily living skills, and enhance their overall quality of life.
From helping someone regain the ability to dress independently after a hospitalization to teaching adaptive techniques that make everyday activities safer and easier, you'll be part of the moments that truly matter.
Supportive Leadership That Understands Therapy
AdvantageCare Rehabilitation was founded by therapists who understand the importance of clinical collaboration, professional respect, and quality patient care.
As an Occupational Therapist, you'll have the opportunity to apply your clinical expertise, develop individualized treatment plans, and work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary team to help residents achieve meaningful functional outcomes.
A Team That Values Your Contributions
Even when you're working PRN, you deserve to feel like a valued member of the team.
We strive to create a collaborative environment where communication, teamwork, and exceptional patient care come first.
Whether you're joining us for occasional coverage or picking up additional shifts when available, we want you to feel supported and appreciated.
As a PRN Occupational Therapist, you'll evaluate and treat residents with a variety of orthopedic, neurological, cognitive, and age-related conditions, helping them improve functional independence, restore daily living skills, and achieve their rehabilitation goals.
Your responsibilities will include:
Perform comprehensive occupational therapy evaluations to assess activities of daily living (ADLs), upper-extremity function, coordination, cognition, safety awareness, and functional limitations.
Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based occupational therapy treatment plans based on patient needs and functional goals.
Provide skilled therapeutic interventions, including ADL retraining, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, functional activities, and adaptive techniques.
Help residents improve independence with dressing, bathing, grooming, toileting, feeding, and other essential daily activities.
Assess and recommend adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and environmental modifications to promote safety and independence.
Address upper-extremity strength, range of motion, fine motor coordination, and functional activity tolerance.
Incorporate cognitive strategies, compensatory techniques, and safety training into individualized treatment plans as clinically appropriate.
Monitor patient progress, reassess functional outcomes, and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings.
Provide education to residents, families, and caregivers regarding adaptive strategies, energy conservation, fall prevention, and safe participation in daily activities.
Collaborate with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants (COTAs), Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Provide appropriate direction and supervision to COTAs in accordance with applicable Pennsylvania practice requirements.
Maintain accurate and timely evaluations, progress notes, treatment documentation, and discharge summaries in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Participate in interdisciplinary care planning and discharge recommendations to support safe transitions of care.
Follow established safety protocols, facility policies, and applicable state and federal regulations.
Contribute to a positive, supportive, patient-centered rehabilitation environment.
We're interested in connecting with Occupational Therapists who bring compassion, strong clinical skills, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program.
Current Pennsylvania Occupational Therapist license or eligibility for licensure prior to employment.
Strong clinical evaluation, treatment planning, and patient care skills.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and documentation skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with an interdisciplinary rehabilitation team.
Commitment to delivering individualized, high-quality occupational therapy services.
Experience in skilled nursing, geriatrics, or post-acute rehabilitation is a plus, but not required.
