PRN / As Needed | Flexible Scheduling | Skilled Nursing & Rehabilitation
Love what you do, but wouldn't mind a little extra income without taking on another full-time commitment?
At AdvantageCare Rehabilitation, we're looking for a compassionate, motivated PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA) to join our rehabilitation team at Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center in Lakeview, Ohio.
Maybe you're already working full-time and would like to pick up occasional additional hours. Perhaps you're looking for a more flexible schedule, returning to clinical practice, or simply interested in an opportunity closer to home.
Whatever your reason, we'd love to connect!
You don't have to be actively searching for a new job to explore a great PRN opportunity.
We understand that your time is valuable, and the right PRN position should offer more than just additional hours.
It should offer meaningful work, supportive colleagues, and the opportunity to make a difference without sacrificing the flexibility you're looking for.
Flexible Scheduling That Works Around Your Life
Already have a full-time job? Family commitments? A schedule that changes from week to week?
We understand.
Our PRN opportunities allow you to explore additional hours based on your availability and the facility's coverage needs.
Whether you're interested in occasional shifts, supplemental income, or staying clinically active with a flexible commitment, we'd welcome the opportunity to discuss what works for you.
Meaningful Patient Care in a Community-Focused Setting
At Indian Lake Rehabilitation Center, you'll have the opportunity to help residents regain the skills they need to participate in everyday life.
From helping someone dress independently again to improving the coordination, strength, and confidence needed for daily activities, your contributions can make a real difference.
A Therapist-Led Organization That Understands Your Profession
AdvantageCare Rehabilitation was founded by therapists who understand the importance of clinical collaboration, professional respect, and quality patient care.
We believe clinicians should feel supported, appreciated, and empowered to use their skills to help patients achieve meaningful goals.
Be Part of the Team, Even When You're PRN
Working PRN shouldn't mean feeling like an outsider.
We strive to create a welcoming, collaborative environment where every clinician's contributions are valued.
You'll work alongside rehabilitation professionals who share a commitment to compassionate, individualized care.
As a PRN Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, you'll provide skilled occupational therapy interventions under the direction and supervision of a licensed Occupational Therapist.
Your responsibilities will include:
Implement individualized occupational therapy treatment plans established by the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Help residents improve independence with activities of daily living (ADLs), including dressing, grooming, bathing, toileting, and self-care.
Provide therapeutic exercises and activities to improve strength, coordination, endurance, and functional performance.
Assist residents in developing or restoring the skills needed for meaningful daily activities.
Provide training in adaptive equipment, compensatory techniques, and functional task performance.
Monitor residents' responses to treatment and communicate progress, concerns, and changes in condition to the supervising Occupational Therapist.
Collaborate with Occupational Therapists, Physical Therapists, Speech-Language Pathologists, nursing staff, and other interdisciplinary team members.
Educate residents and families on strategies to support safety and independence within the COTA scope of practice.
Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation in accordance with professional and regulatory standards.
Follow Ohio occupational therapy practice requirements, facility policies, and established safety protocols.
Contribute to a positive, collaborative, patient-centered rehabilitation environment.
We're interested in connecting with Certified Occupational Therapy Assistants who bring compassion, clinical skills, and a genuine commitment to helping others.
Required Qualifications:
Graduate of an ACOTE-accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program.
Current Ohio Occupational Therapy Assistant license or eligibility for licensure before beginning employment.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and patient care skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with a supervising Occupational Therapist and interdisciplinary team.
Commitment to delivering individualized, high-quality occupational therapy services.
Experience in skilled nursing, geriatrics, or post-acute rehabilitation is a plus, but not required.
Experienced COTAs and New Graduates Are Welcome to Apply!
Whether you've been practicing for years or are beginning your career, we'd love to hear from you.
Please note: This is a licensed Occupational Therapy Assistant position. Experience as a Rehabilitation Aide, Therapy Technician, CNA, or other healthcare support professional does not replace the required OTA education and licensure qualifications.
