As an Occupational Therapist at Westmoreland Manor, you'll evaluate each person's individual abilities and challenges and develop treatment plans focused on helping them achieve greater safety, function and independence.

It's helping someone regain the ability to dress themselves, get to the bathroom safely, participate in a favorite activity, return home, or do more for themselves than they could yesterday.
That's Occupational Therapy.
Westmoreland Manor provides a setting where Occupational Therapists can work with adults and older adults with a variety of rehabilitation and functional needs.
Patients may be recovering following hospitalization, illness, surgery, injury, weakness, falls or functional decline, while others may require longer-term support to maintain or maximize their independence.
For an OT, that creates opportunities to work on much more than strength and exercise.
You'll be addressing the things that directly affect someone's ability to participate in everyday life—self-care, safety, cognition, upper-extremity function, adaptive strategies, functional mobility and independence.
And because this is a full-time position, you'll have the opportunity to follow your patients' progress and become a consistent member of their rehabilitation team.
